ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION FOR THE 2023 AMERICAN FOREGUT SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING IS NOW OPEN!

Submissions Open: February 1, 2023

Submissions Deadline: April 17, 2023

Submissions will be judged according to their scientific quality, innovation and importance to the field of foregut surgery/medicine. They will be assigned as Poster presentations or, for the highest-ranked abstracts, as oral/podium presentations.

Rules For Submission:
Abstract must be publication ready and include the following: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion. They should be no more than 300 words (not including title, author, names, and affiliations). All authors and affiliated institutions must be listed beneath title.

Abstract Categories:

  • Esophagus benign – GERD, Achalasia, Motility

  • Esophagus neoplasia (Barrett’s, Cancer)

  • Stomach

  • Endoscopic Foregut Surgery (including Endobariatrics)

  • Bariatrics as it relates to Foregut disease

  • Education/training

  • New technologies

  • International

The data should not have been published or presented at a previous major medical meeting. Abstracts can have been previously presented at institutional or local meetings.

After the Data…

  • Podium presentations are required to submit to the AFS Foregut Journal by December 31, 2023.
