Norton Thoracic Institute: Research (Clinical) fellowship

The research fellow will be involved in the esophageal disease laboratory with esophageal studies, maintaining functional studies and surgical databases. Fellows will be encouraged to pick retrospective and prospective studies with faculty members of their choice. The fellows will have any opportunity to avail access to animal, basic science and translational research – if they choose to in addition to helping with current ongoing projects. Research fellows will be expected to submit and present their findings at national conferences and write manuscripts from the same for peer-review publications. Medical degree (MD or MBBS) or PhD is required and surgical interest or some surgical training a plus. The fellow should be comfortable using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and have at least a basic understanding of biostatistics.
